DAY 01: ZANZIBAR – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

An early morning departure at 06:30 from Zanzibar Airport to Arusha Airport, upon arrival at Arusha Airport you will be picked up by our Safari guide in our 4×4 safari land cruiser and commence your journey to Tarangire National Park. In about 2 hours you will arrive at the park entrance where you will register at the park gate and immediately start your first game drive safari. Here you will have the opportunity to see the most magnificent herds of African elephants set against a backdrop of a splendid savannah environment of majestic baobabs, which are wonderfully bare in the dry season and lush green during the rainy season. Although resident wildlife is abundant throughout the year, the best season for viewing migratory wildlife is from August to October. Enjoy your lunch with the magnificent view of Tarangire and the close-knit families of elephants from afar. Afterwards drive to your Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 02: Ngorongoro Crater (Conservation Area)

After breakfast, you will depart with packed lunch for the Ngorongoro Crater (Conservation Area). Once past the entrance gates, you will descend into the crater and spend the rest of the day on an amazing safari. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcanic caldera. It is almost 20 km wide, about 600 m deep, and is known for its wide variety of wildlife. In addition to sightings, you may see the Big Five (rhinos, leopards, lions, buffaloes, and elephants), various springs attract animals such as wildebeests, gazelles, reeds, and countless species of birds. You will stop for lunch at a beautiful designated picnic area around noon. The Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most important protected areas, with a diverse ecosystem, is home to 2-3 million wild animals. Ngorongoro is beautifully positioned with lakes, plains, swamps, and forests on the escarpment, offering an impressive panoramic view of animals and landscapes. Drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch a flight to Zanzibar Airport. Pick up and drive to their hotel for dinner and overnight.
