OVERVIEW

This 5-Day Comfort Safari and Beach allow us to experience the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit. We experience breathtaking wildlife in the midst of diverse landscapes; monkeys in the forest, lions in the trees, elephants amongst the acacias, and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. We also visit The Serengeti National Park, home to some 3 million animals. These spectacular grass plains offer the best opportunity of viewing cheetahs, leopards, and lions, in the true wild.

DAY 0: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters to domestic flights, you will be met by our representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Overnight will be at your accommodation awaiting your safari on the following day.

DAY 1: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

You will be picked up from your Arusha hotel at 7 a.m. and immediately depart to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest National Park and it is also one of the oldest ecosystems on earth. Its climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest; accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The precise timing of the Migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year. After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our tented partner lodges for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK FULL

Early morning after breakfast, we depart to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our tented partner lodges for dinner and overnight. We will spend 2 nights inside this incredible park.

DAY 3: NORTH SERENGETI

You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive. Later return to the accommodation for breakfast and depart to North Serengeti with packed lunch. You will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today and move towards the northern part of the park. The en route game drive towards the Kogatende region will offer mild action from resident games. As you approach the northern part of the Serengeti, you will notice the terrain change from the usual plain grassland to more hilly and broken terrain. The northern region offers a variety of resident games such as zebras, Topi, gazelle, buffaloes, leopards, and lions. A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long drive itself. Based on the time of your arrival you will be able to spend a few hours by the Mara River. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

DAY 4 – NORTHERN SERENGETI TO CENTRAL SERENGETI

After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and has fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

DAY 5 – CENTRAL SERENGETI TO ARUSHA

Wakeup call at 0600am, have just a cup of hot coffee then proceed for the early morning game drive, while your exit the Serengeti National Park to Arusha for your Flight to Zanzibar this morning game drive is very important as you will be able to witness the early morning kills from the big five.
